Speakers

Pitch a talk

This form is open all year. Send something whenever it's on your mind and we'll get back to you about a month we can fit it in. You don't have to have it all worked out yet.

What tends to land

  • Something you've actually done. Practitioner experience beats theory in this room every time.
  • A real takeaway, so people leave with something to go try.
  • The messy version. What went sideways is usually more useful than the tidy case study.
  • No sales pitch. If the talk ends on your product, this isn't the right room for it.

A few practical things

  • Sessions usually run about 45 minutes with time for questions after.
  • We meet on weeknight evenings, in person around Dayton or online.
  • Never done this before? Say so below. We'll help you shape it and you'll be fine.
  • We don't pay speakers and we don't charge attendees. Everybody is here on their own time.

About you
Two or three sentences. This is what goes in the event listing, so write it the way you'd want it read out.
Any photo of you is fine. If you'd rather send it later that works too.
Conferences, meetups, webinars, a lunch and learn at work, or nowhere yet. "Nowhere yet" is a perfectly good answer and it doesn't count against you.
About the talk
A working title is fine. We can wordsmith it together later.
A paragraph or two. This is what people read when they're deciding whether to come out on a weeknight.
Two or three things they can go use. This is the part we care about most.
Coaches, Scrum Masters, engineers, leaders, people brand new to all of this. Tell us who should be in the seats.
Months that don't work, gear you need, a co-presenter, or a question for us.

We read every one of these. You'll hear back either way, and if it isn't a fit for a full session we usually have another idea for you.
